About this programme
The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN (eYAA) flagship programme harnesses the potential of young leaders to create meaningful and sustainable impact across ASEAN communities. Established through a strategic partnership between Maybank Foundation and the ASEAN Foundation, the programme was launched during the 51st ASEAN Day celebrations in 2018, creating a regional platform that brings together youth, communities, and development partners to address shared challenges through collaboration and innovation.
Aligned with Maybank’s ROAR30, our five-year corporate strategy, eYAA empowers ASEAN youth through volunteerism, capacity building, and social innovation to drive inclusive growth, strengthen community resilience, and foster regional collaboration. In partnership with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Social Enterprises (SEs), the programme supports community-led solutions that improve social and economic well-being while nurturing socially responsible leaders with the skills and experience to create lasting impact.
Supporting the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, the ASEAN Work Plan on Youth, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, eYAA strengthens cross-cultural understanding, encourages active citizenship, and builds a regional network of young changemakers committed to advancing a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient ASEAN.
