To equip and inspire ASEAN youth by providing a platform to learn, contribute and advocate solutions.

Cohort 5 Summary Performance

Cohort 5 built on the success of previous years with the introduction of a regional capacity-building workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, followed by onsite project implementation across six ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. From 3,529 youth applications, 100 volunteers were selected and worked alongside 10 CSOs/SE partners to deliver impactful community-based projects, reaching 25,063 individuals. The programme also generated significant media value, with coverage worth over USD 4.4 million.

CAMBODIA | "Women's Economic Empowerment" by Inclusive Organization

PROJECT SCOPE:

  1. Deliver financial literacy and business skills workshops for women and youth entrepreneurs
  2. Provide quality mental health services for low-income communities
  3. Produce online educational videos on financial literacy and business best practices

INDONESIA | "Project Membumi" by Ecoliving

PROJECT SCOPE:

  2. Raised community awareness on sustainable waste management

INDONESIA | "Glorious Golo Mori" by Insan Bumi Mandiri

PROJECT SCOPE:

  1. Empowered fishermen through the provision of solar-powered cold storage and ice-making facilities
  2. Strengthened MSME capacity within the community
  3. Expanded market access for women-led MSMEs
  4. Improved the economic resilience and productivity of coastal communities

INDONESIA | "Textile Rekindling Initiative (TRI)" by PT Tri Cinta Bumi (Rekynd)

PROJECT SCOPE:

  1. Strengthened textile waste management
  2. Increased community awareness and participation in circular fashion
  3. Engaged youth volunteers and stakeholders through sustainable fashion projects and strategic partnerships

  1. Strengthened ASEAN and local youth capacity to implement SDG-focused environmental initiatives
  2. Enhanced regional collaboration and environmental awareness among youth, schools, and stakeholders
  3. Promoted sustainable waste management in schools

MALAYSIA | "Seri Budaya" by Yayasan Anak-Anak Yatim Wardatul Jannah

PROJECT SCOPE:

  1. Preserved traditional Malay dance through structured cultural learning programmes
  2. Empowered youth through performing arts
  3. Strengthened community engagement and cultural appreciation through public dance showcases

PROJECT SCOPE:

  1. Equipped youth volunteers with skills in marine conservation, climate resilience, and environmental leadership
  2. Conducted youth-led beach clean-ups and community environmental awareness campaigns
  3. Strengthened collaboration with schools, local communities, and government stakeholders

  3. Promoted ethical digital citizenship and online safety
