Our sustainability strategy is connected to Maybank’s mission of humanising financial services. The Group’s comprehensive 20/20 Sustainability Plan guides our work. The 20/20 Sustainability Plan includes targets and indicators for monitoring and tracking the impact of our work.
The plan covers the next five years and we report on our activities and the progress against the indicators annually. We want to go beyond static reporting based on yearly targets and simple indicators. An approach focusing on impact and results will make sustainability practices more transparent and manageable, and will help us build alliances as well as nurture innovation.
In 2010, for Maybank Group’s 50th anniversary, Maybank Foundation was launched as its main corporate responsibility vehicle.
