Maybank Wild Tiger Runs

Maybank recently announced its support for the first-ever run organised for the Malayan tiger.

The Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers (MYCAT) is an alliance of wildlife NGOs Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), TRAFFIC Aoutheast Asia, Wildlife Conservation Society-Malaysia Programme and WWF-Malaysia. The Maybank Wild Tiger Run is held in conjunction with MYCAT's 10th year anniversary as a show of strengthened commitment to save the Malayan tiger. 10 years ago it was estimated that 500 tigers roam the Malaysian jungle. Today, that number is believed to be even less.

The run will be held at Bukit Jalil Part on 9 November 2013. It aims to increase awareness of the plight of the Malayan tiger and raise funds for MYCAT’s conservation efforts. The run will consist of a 10km competitive race and a 3km ‘fun run’. There will even be a prize for the best dressed tiger-themed participant.
